It’s 8:00 am. The sun is up, the jug’s on, and before I’ve even made my first coffee I’ve had two messages come in — one from a customer asking how her Vivix order is tracking, and another from a friend who saw my post last night and wants to know more about the business.
This is what a typical morning looks like when you’re a Shaklee Ambassador in New Zealand. And honestly? Joining Shaklee was the best business decision I ever made.
The Day Starts With Me
No alarm going off for a boss. No commute to dread. The first thing I do — before email, before Instagram — is take my Shaklee supplements. Life Shake into a smoothie, Vivix and Liquid BioCell alongside it. Also, my multivitamin. It takes two minutes. A ritual I genuinely look forward to.
As an ambassador, the products aren’t something I sell from a distance. I use them every day. I’m a proud wellness girlie, quality matters and Shaklee has it.
Inbox: The Good Kind
Twenty to thirty minutes going through messages. Replying to customer queries and comments on last night’s post.
A big part of being a good ambassador is being genuinely helpful. I love that. New Zealanders respond really well to someone who takes the time to find them the right answer.

The Part Most People Don’t See
Usually at my kitchen table with a cup of tea, following up with people, writing a caption for Instagram or drafting a Facebook post. The content that actually performs isn’t the polished stuff — it’s the real stuff.
I’m able to live off just my Shaklee income. What’s my secret? it’s simple really – I actually share with people and I actually follow up… rinse and repeat.
Yes, This Is the Business Too
I love having time to do whatever I like – walks, meeting a friend at a cafe, pick up groceries for a recipe, a beach swim… anything I want.
Here’s something nobody talks about enough: the flexibility isn’t just a perk — for a lot of New Zealand ambassadors, it’s the entire reason they’re here.
Sometimes that walk turns into a conversation about health, and that conversation leads to someone wanting to try a product. The business grows organically when you’re not forcing it.
The Satisfying Boring Stuff
After a late lunch I do a quick admin pass. Checking orders, sending thank-you messages to new customers, and more follow-up. It takes maybe 30 minutes.
One of the things I genuinely appreciate is that Shaklee handles all warehousing and shipping from Auckland. I’m not running a stockroom out of my garage with constant trips to the post shop! My job is to connect people with products; Shaklee handles everything behind the scenes, I LOVE that.
The Hour I Protect
Yes, this involves another cup of tea…
On weekday evenings, I set aside an hour to learn something — a Shaklee training webinar, a wellness podcast, or a book chapter on building an online business.
Shaklee provides regular online trainings, team calls, and a community of ambassadors across Oz and NZ who share what’s working. I enjoy the community and sense of purpose.
I finish the night with my YOUTH skincare routine, Vivix and Liquid BioCell. Every day looks different due the flexibility of this lifestyle – which is why I love it so much. I earn an income while helping people to look and feel great. I can honestly say I look forward to each day and that’s a great feeling

The Real Talk
What This Business Actually Takes
Building a Shaklee business takes time. In the early months, you’re planting seeds that you won’t harvest for a while. You might need to consistently work on sharing Shaklee every day for the first 6 months to really see growth. That’s normal. That’s how almost every ambassador’s story starts.
Most ambassadors treat it as a meaningful side income to start with, and grow it from there. Some run full-time businesses within 12–18 months. Others keep it as a extra $1,000/month income side-gig. There’s no one path.
“The income is real — but it’s not overnight. It’s built on consistency and genuine belief in what you’re sharing.”
